A Champion for Our Coast, Our Community and Our Values
My story is not unlike many in our community. I’ve experienced the decline of the natural resource industry and the closure of several mines in the area, which had a personal impact on my family. As a single mother, I put myself through college while working full time.
Growing up in a hardworking, blue collar community, I am proud to be the first member of my immediate family to graduate from college. I currently work as an instructor and coordinate the high school dual credit program at a local community college. In my free time, I volunteer in the community, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and pets.
